Charikot - In a joint initiative, Creative Hands and Nita Raut Foundation distributed zinc plates to 20 households affected by landslides in Lapilang-5, Kalinchowk, Dolakha. The distribution took place on Monday, with each household receiving one bundle of zinc plates. The zinc plates were handed over to Rural Municipality Chairperson Bin Kumar Thami and VDC Chairperson Subash Thami for distribution among the affected families.
The recipients of the zinc plates included Bir Bdr. Thami, Ganesh Thami, Lalman Thami, Amar Thami, Dhanman Thami, Chalak Bdr. Thami, Nabin Thami, Asuni Thami, Sujan Thami, Santosh Thami, Rita Thami, Hari Maya Thami, and Dambar Thami. These families were severely affected by the landslides caused by heavy rainfall, leaving them homeless and vulnerable.
The distribution was carried out to provide temporary relief to the families who lost their homes and farming lands due to the landslide. Most of the affected areas have been transformed into beaches, making it difficult for the residents to rebuild their lives.
"We are committed to supporting those affected by natural disasters like landslides," said Dambar Bahadur Ghale (Dipen), Vice President of Creative Hands. "We are grateful for the collaboration with Nita Raut Foundation in making this possible."
The zinc plates will provide essential support to these families in their time of need. If you would like to learn more about Creative Hands' initiatives or make a donation to support our efforts, please contact us at [email protected] .
